Football

Football is a team sport played between two teams, typically consisting of eleven players each. The objective of the game is to score goals by advancing a spherical ball into the opposing team’s net, primarily using the feet, although other parts of the body (excluding arms and hands) can also be used in some versions of the game.

The most recognized form of football globally is association football, commonly known as soccer, which is governed by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA). The sport is characterized by its fast pace, teamwork, and tactical strategies. Matches are played on a rectangular field with a goal at each end, and the game is divided into two halves.

In several countries, the term “football” can refer to different codes of football, such as American football, rugby football, or Australian rules football, each with unique rules and playing styles. Football has a massive following worldwide, making it one of the most popular sports, celebrated for its simplicity, accessibility, and the passion it inspires among players and fans alike.
