Soccer

Soccer is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players each, where the objective is to score goals by getting a ball into the opposing team’s net using any part of the body except the hands and arms, with the exception of the goalkeepers. Games are played on a rectangular field, known as a pitch, with a goal at each end. The sport is governed by a set of rules known as the Laws of the Game, which are maintained by the International Football Association Board (IFAB). Soccer is known for its emphasis on strategy, teamwork, and skill, and is the most widely played and followed sport globally. It is known as football in most countries outside North America.
