Europa League

The Europa League is an annual club football competition organized by UEFA (Union of European Football Associations). It is the second-tier tournament for European football clubs, ranking below the UEFA Champions League. The competition features teams that qualify through their national leagues and domestic cup competitions, and it provides an opportunity for clubs from different European countries to compete against each other. The format includes a group stage followed by knockout rounds, culminating in a final match to determine the champion. Since its inception in 1971, the Europa League has served as a platform for clubs that may not qualify for the more prestigious Champions League, fostering competition and showcasing football talent across Europe. The winner of the tournament is awarded a trophy and earns a place in the following season’s Champions League group stage.
