Handball

Handball is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each, consisting of six outfield players and one goalkeeper, aim to score goals by throwing a ball into the opposing team’s net. The game is played on a rectangular court, typically indoors, and is characterized by its fast pace and emphasis on teamwork, agility, and strategic play. Each team has an objective to outscore the opponent, with play often involving dribbling, passing, and shooting the ball with the hands. The sport is governed by the International Handball Federation (IHF) and is played at various levels, from amateur leagues to professional competitions and international tournaments, including the Olympic Games and the World Championships. Handball has its origins in various ball games from Europe and has grown in popularity, especially in countries such as Germany, France, Denmark, and Spain.
